Johnson Taekwon-Do

Rules

  1. Upon entering or leaving the training area (dojang) you are required to bow to the flags.
  2. As an indication of respect, you are required to bow to the instructor and to all higher belts.
  3. The instructor is to be addressed as “Sir” or as appropriate, Mr. Or Ms. with last name. (i.e. Mr. Johnson).
  4.  Full-contact sparring is absolutely prohibited; protective equipment must be worn on hands and feet during sparring; lower belts (to green stripe) must obtain permission for sparring from the Head Instructor.
  5. The punching bag may not be used while class is in session.
  6. There will be no free practice while a class is in session unless prior permission has been obtained from the Head Instructor.
  7. Students must participate in both the warm-up and regular class.
  8. Noise must be kept to an absolute minimum while classes are in session.
  9. Members are expected, when requested by the Head Instructor, to assist with Tournaments and Demonstrations.
  10. Foul language will not be tolerated.
  11. No smoking is allowed in any part of the club; chewing gum is also no allowed.
  12. Jewelry (rings, necklaces, watches) my not be worn during training due to its potential danger.
  13. Fingernails and toenails must be kept short to prevent injury.
  14. Uniforms, not street clothes, must be worn during training; uniforms must be kept cleanat all times.

Failure to comply with any of these rules may result in suspension or expulsion
